the reading states that zebra mussel is invasive species and has a serious threat for fish population; indeed, nothing can stop invasion of this species and provides three reasons of support .However, the professor explains that there are ways to control zebra mussel and reject each of the author's reasons.

Firstly, the reading mentions that base on the history of the zebra mussel, there is no practical way to stop its invasion.The professor refutes this point by suggesting that this idea was true, but today there are some ways to control zebra mussel. He gives an example of stopping ships from carrying waters that contain zebra mussel.

Furthermore, the reading claims that zebra mussel has no predators in their new place so they will soon become dominant species. However, the lecturer contends that this idea can't be true since some animals may change their habitat and eat zebra mussel.He mentions that some birds may change their habitat so they could have a lot of food to eat.
