TOEFL TPO 07- Integrated Writing Task
The passage describes the imprtance of a certification that provides high ecological standards by conserving resources and recycling materials. The passage adds that American companies are reluctant to get these certifications for three reasons. However, the talk refutes all these reasons by stating that people in the United States are eager about these certifications. Consequncely, the professor provides three reasons for supporting his idea.
First, the reading asserts that American users are exposed to so much advertsments and it is difficult to notic them. While the professir in the conversation explains that people can easily distinguish the differences between the adverticment. So, the professor thinks the mentioned reason in the talk is not convincing and using adverticment is an effective way to introduce our unique products.
Second, the passage claims that wood with ecocertified sign has too much cost. So, it is less practical that concumers buy these expensive products. However, the lecture refutes this idea by stating that price is one of the important factors that people pay attention to them when they buy a product. If the difference between the price of the two products is lower than 5 percents they notice to other factors like having ecocertification. Furthermore, the professor says there are many people in America that believe concuming ecocertificated products is better for the environment. So, they buy the expensive one with ecocertification logo.
Third, the text asserts that following certification is matter when they want export their products to abroad not when they want sell their products in their own country. However, the teacher rejects this idea bt describing that by ignoring this subject they can loose their market. Because other companies in forieign countries can enhance their products by obtaining ecosertification sign and they can enter to America and occupy the market. It can devastete the domestic companies.
