The reading and the lecture focus on different opinions about the team group and their necessities in the work. In the reading , the writer presents the merits of the team group in the work. According to the lecture, however, the lecturer states that these advantages appear to be sketchy. Nevertheless, the writer points out that the group team has knowledge, skills, and experience than any single individual. Everyone shares in taking the decisions since when they take decisions, they usually discuss the project together. thus, they are coming up with the correct decision, and creative solutions. In addition, they can work quickly when the company assigned some tasks to them to do it. they are sharing the ideas together and end up finishing the tasks with a good quality. the team member who voices in making the decision fell better about making the work that is required than they might be doing work that is forced n them by other. Finally, group team can be very rewarding, they have the chance to get the promotion by making a great accomplishment in the work.
On the other hand, the speaker presents a different side of the arguments. According to the lecture, the speaker states that the team group is not helpful to profit the company and there are some issues to support the idea. First of all, not all the members of the team contribute in making decisions. If the company assigned two influentials to see what they are making to develop the project and they do not like the idea. so, the idea will be dropped. Therefore, the individual work is sp pragmatic. Furthermore, the work can not be done quickly since it takes a long time to build agreements. they should convince the two influential with their ideas to end up with solving the problems. Finally, according to the rewarding is not true. the team group is less benefit from their work especially the member who makes a lot of efforts to solve the problems. As the result, he will not get any recognition, all of which appears that the individual work is better than the group work.
