First of all, the first argument used by the authour is that consumers in america don not pay attention the advertising because they are many add on the Tv. Morever, They do not trust claims in general. However, the speaker says that Consumers distinguish the prodcts and they will trust this certificate which is favour of consumers.
Secondly, The reading claims that uncertificated wood will be cheaper than certificated one due to expenses of having it. Extra cost which paid by companies will transfered product price from companies to consumers which sensitive to the price. But the speaker says that consumers are sensitive to the price when the prices is close eachothers.
Thirdly,the reading posits that american firms,which sells their goods mainlyin the usa markets, do not compete with th compaines in aboard. The idea selling more by getting certifications and keeping up new technologies is all wrong. The speaker reject this idea and say that there are a strong competition between the Usa and forgein firms.
