The reading passage states three reasons that the archaeologists faced in the United Kingdom. However, the lecturer disagrees with the writer by offering a new guide line proposed in 1990.
First, the writer suggests that some important artifacts were destroyed due to construction projects. However, the lecturer says that the new rule insisted that when a place is chosen to be built, researchers should exam and make sure that archaeologists are not interested in it. If this place is well worthy for archaeological research, the researchers should make a plan to preserve artifacts or document them before construction.
Second, the professor says that construction company is responsible to pay for archaeological development rather than the goverment.
Last but not the last, thanks to the preserving process, abundant jobs are released. The preserving process includes documenting data, processing information and writing reports. Therefore, lots of archaeologists do not have to worry about their career.
In conclusion, the lecturer provides a clear and strong evidence that contradicts to the reading passage.
