The reading and lecture are both about ethanol and gasoline. the reading claims that Ethanol isn't a good substitution for gasoline providing proves to the claim. The lecture contends with the present claim in the passage, the lecture believes th idea is presentable and gasoline is a good alternative providing substantial reasons in the ensuing paragraph.
First of all, the article states that dangerous problems are caused by gasoline in the aspect of global warming where carbon dioxide is burnt for fuel and heat is trapped. However, the lecture posits that the gasoline has presents no effect of global warming since the carbon dioxide found in the possess of growing a plant is absorbed in the air an alleviated.
Secondly, the passage mentions that plants are constantly reduced for fuel due to the consumption by animals like cow goat and so on. To a great extent, the plants which severs as food cwill gradually disappear. The professor of the lecture on the other hand states that cellulose comes into limelight because the plants possess cellulose uneaten to animals therefore, plants are unlikable to reduce.
Finally, the prices of the two object in question are presently at the same rate according to the author of the passage. It was established that tax imposed by the government can increase th price of ethanol or to this, other people can help to work on the price. In contrast, th lecture challenges that more purchase of ethanol leads to a drop and competing wont be needed.
In conclusion, the professor has effectively elaborated on why gasoline is a good substitute which the challenged the reading to a reasonable manner.
