In this set of materials the reading passeges discusses that several reason that some people are disagree with the use of TEDs device to protect sea turtle. While, in the listening the professor casts doubt on what is presented in the text and believes that a lot of numbers of scientist agree with this arguments that the TEDs devices are a very good decive to preserve from turtles.
First of all, in the text it is clearlt mentioned that the shimpers discribed that the possibility of trapping turtles is very low and also the cost of using TEDs is high for fishers , thus using from this device is unreasonable. HOwever, the professor claims that it is true that the turtles trapping rarly by each bout but this accidentaly trapping acumulated about thousend in each year and this numers is a big problem for the sea environment and as a hole view has significant effect on the population of this animals.
In addition the porfessor disagrees with this idea that this alternative method that mentioned in the text can be effective solution. Sje says that this method is good way just in the theory. And she believes that all of bouts do not used from the time limited because of difficulty of this apporach.
Finally, in the text it is stated that the TEDs is not suitable for large species. the professor sbscribes that it is true that this normal TEDs is not very practical for large turtles but the comanies can be producing the larger TEDs that can be coverd the large specises and through porduction of this larger TEDs uing from this device has not any problem.
