tpo 50 the possibility of sending the human to Mars

The reading and lecture are both about three major problems in the humans' journey to Mars for the next few decades, while scientists have not been encountered these problems in sending humans to the Moon. The lecturer disputes the claims made in the excerpt. Her position is opposite to that of the author of the reading.

First, according to the reading a there and back trip to Mars for almost two years while the trip to the Moon spent only a few days. Hence, humans would be faced with a shortage of food, water, and oxygen. While the lecturer claims that spacemen can use a method to breeding plants, with the title "Hydroponic". This way leads to recycling water by plants also, produces enough oxygen for breathing, and the hydroponic plants can grow up on spacecraft.

Secondly, the author suggests that on Mars the humans are in zero-gravity situations for further months and it has adverse effects on human health, such as decreasing muscle mass and solidity bone. The lecturer, however, asserts that humans can decrease these effects by taking calcium tablets, minerals, and regular exercise.

Finally, the author posits that Mars would not be protected from hazardous space radiation while Earth's magnetic field protects the Earth. The author contends that the spaceship's protection would be impossible because making a shield adds much weight to the spaceship. In contrast, the lecturer's stance is radiation is not constantly emitted to the surface of Mars, therefore, they can use a shield when the levels of space radiation are increasing.
