The material discusses the concept of the way that Agnostids ate and behave. While the reading details certain looks at the topic from one perspective, the listening challenges certain point outlined in the reading passage.
Firstly, the reading details some points in regard to this topic, namely they agnostids might be swimming predators. In addition to that, they might be seafloor dwellers. One final point, the possibility they were parasites.
Conversely, the listening challenges the points. One specific contradiction is that arthropods predators have large eyes with strong vision, in order to be able to catch small animals. While agnostids’ eyes were so poor, they were almost blind so they supposed to have another sensory organs gave them that ability to catch prey, but there were no evidence of this in the fossils record. Next, agnostids were not seafloor dwellers, because they moved pretty fast and spread across large distance, while seafloor dwellers moved very slow and occupy small area. Finally, usually the parasites populations are small, because if they were too many, they would kill off the host organisms they live on. the vast number of agnostids have been found indicated that the great size od population of them, so it seems to rule out the theory that they are parasites.
In summary, there are obvious discrepancies with the information presented as each piece illustrate varying perspectives.
