Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for students to understand ideas and concepts than it is for them to learn facts. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Today, students can learn from many sources to support their knowledge like book and internet. Both of them have advantages. From book, we know how theory is built. In contrast, from internet, we study about the reality of fact. Actually, I am more curious about how idea and concept is typed and developed. Hence, I strongly agree for studying of development idea and concept more.
First, I hate learn about exact subject like math and physic. It has certain number and the answer is absolutely true. When I write wrong then I lost one score. It also limit my brain to think more. I have experience when I get subject "Calculus". Professor shows me how many theory to solve one problem. I am getting confuse to answer. Who is the best formula? Then, I never get higher score for this subject because I do not really understand about where does the formula comes? Suddently, I use that theory, it does not make sense. Furthermore, I ever heard quote "you even do not know someone's name before you tell about your self". I think this quote is relation with math's theory. Hence, I should know the concept or basic from one formula then I know which is best formula that I should use.
Second, It is really exciting when I know from basic rule from fact. I know what happen and how they come before. For instance, I usually watch news on television. I heard that many facts is dicovered from researchers such as impact of cinema and stress on 22-years-old until 25-years-old. But, I feel like it is such as fish-story because I do not know well how they develop their invention then I think no sense. That is why it is important to tell and show it. Television can make real-story about this discovery to convince public that the news is true. They can show us and appear the speaker.
To conclude, I like study from basic to understand well about theory or concept. It will make me think more how it could be and how to develop it better.
