I don’t think parents should be involved in the process. There are some reasons. Firstly, parents are in no way aware of the children’s capabilities. For example, my brother plays computer games every day. To his parents, it’s a waste of time and they’ve no idea of what my brother is actually doing. In fact, he is a computer game programmer and playing games is only a necessary part of his job. Moreover, parents are not sure of how the children will be in the future. For example, most parents start to cultivate their kids into musicians, scientists and other decent positions in the society since childhood. However, many of them grow into diverse social characters. I mean, still, we need cleaner, driver, and other labor work besides musician and scientist.
