The university is planning to expand the radio station’s broadcasting range to attract more students and bring in more money through commercials. The woman agrees with the school’s plan for the following reasons. First of all, she thinks that after the change, the radio programs can reach more people, and that’s good news for students in the program because they can get more experience broadcasting to larger audience. The second reason she gives is it’ll be good for the school too. Her friend Tony’s school did something like this five years ago, it was a big success which brought in a lot of money, and the school can use the money to fund projects or renovate the facilities on campus.
