TOEFL SPEAKING TASK 3: RENOVATION OF THE STUDENT CENTER
A LETTER TO SCHOOL: The university should renovate the student center. The long table in the cafeteria should be replaced by several small ones and more rooms for study should be afforded. The space in the dining room is not enough, which makes eating very uncomfortable there. And the place for study is too small, it's actually not good for learning.
CONVERSATION: A male student and a female student is discussing the letter. The female student disagrees with the letter. She believes that students are not obligated to eat only in the student center. There are a lot to places to dine. For example, if the weather was fine, she will dine at better and cheaper restaurants off campus. And student center is always filled with many people, everybody is busy talking and socializing there. It's very noisy therefore not a proper place to study. The library is quieter, so for students who want to study, they should go to the library. But the library is lack of tables and chairs. Perhaps the library should truly be the place to renovate.
