Exposure therapy is a technique in behavior therapy intended to treat anxiety disorders and involves the exposure to the feared object or context without any danger in order to overcome their anxiety. Exposure Therapy uses a carefully devised plan of exposure to the feared situation to gradually defuse its anxiety-producing power, to the point that it has no ability to produce anxiety at all.
