The given process illustrates the procedure for manufacturing sugar from sugar cane.
Overall, there are 7 steps in the process, beginning with cultivating the sugar cane and finishing with drying and cooling the produced sugar.
At the beginning of the process, sugar cane is grown on farmlands from one year to one year and a half. Then the sugar cane is harvested either by hand or with the help of machinery. Next it is placed into a crusher to make fresh juice. After that, the juice undergoes a purifying process in a filter with layers of limestone before coming to the next step.
In the fifth stage of the procedure, the syrup is made from the juice with extreme heat in a large evaporator. The syrup is then put into a centrifuge where sugar crystals are divided from the original liquid. In the final stage, the sugar crystals are put into a large vessel, being dried and cooled before the final sugar is ready to be transported to consumption points.
