The passage thinks that although there remains some possibility in sending humans to Mars. It still has many problems to overcome during the process. However, the lecture challenge the thoughts in the passage from many aspect.
First, the passage thinks that it will take a long time to travel to the Mars, and the space craft will not have enough place for people to store their food and drink. However, the lecture came up with an idea that we could use oxygen-package to maintain our energy and it call also help us cultivate plants by ourselves in the space craft. In addition, we could also drink the water. Therefore, the question of storing food is successfully solved.
Then, the passage mention the zero-gravity environment in the space, the writer thinks that it might be difficult for people to live in that environment for a long time. According to this point, the lecture think that it has already been many space station in the outer-space. These centers could lead people how to deal with that environment and train them accepting it. Thus, the living environment could not be a big problem.
At last, the writer worries about the radiation in the space. Yet, the lecture think that people also have no worry about this because the outer-space has shield area, which could offer us a place to hide from the radiation. When the radiation is gone, we could go out of the shield and continue our journey.
Therefore, the speaker in the lecture don't think the questions in the passage is not totally inevitable, on the contrary, he think that all the problems could find a better solution to deal with it.
