You play a team sport with some friends. Last week a member of the team had an accident and wasn't able to play with you at the weekend. You decide to write to him in hospital, telling him about the match.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
• Tell him which team won
• Describe the conditions on the day
• Say how you felt about the match
Dear Fred,
I hope you are recovering fast and getting well at hospital after your accident last week! I`m writing to give you some highlights about our planned match on last week end.
We had organized a football match against the main team of our university over the week end. When we decided to organize that match, we could not expect to win it. The other team was well trained and just won the university`s league; however, we made it and won the match at the end with a high score. The referee was mutual and in same distance from both teams.
The weather was rainy, but the stadium was well maintained for such sever condition. Many people came to attend the match, although that heavy rains. As well a lot of spectators were supporting our team to win, and that made our team very enthusiastic to make them happy.
Once the match finished, we were so relieved with the positive result. It was my first time to play against well-trained team such as University`s team. The match was very stressful, but I did not feel that all my efforts were in vain. I felt proudly of my self to complete the full match in support of my team.
Best wishes,
Ayoub
