The given table illustrates the proportion of the workers in six industries in Australia during 1989 to 2009. It can be seen that Manufacturing industry holds maximum percentage of that workers. however, the tourism had the least proportion of workforce.
It is Crystal clear that in only two industries (Manufacturing and Retail)the workforce decreased. The noticeable point is that there were comparatively more declined in percentage of workers in Manufacturing industry (15-9.8) than Retail industry (11.8-10.1) during 1989 to 2009.
Next, A slight grow can be seen in other Industries that were Healthcare, Construction, Education and Tourism. There is a remarkable point that the proportion of employees in tourism industry became equal to education's workforce by 2009.
To conclude, In most of the industries number of employees increased slightly. however, in two industries namely Manufacturing and Retail the proportion of workforce decreased.
