In today's world advertisement play a critical role in the market. And every manufacturer spends a lot of money on advertising the products, in order to increase its sale. Although people's first priority in buying a product is its good quality, effective advertising can encourage individuals to buy a product that may not even need. And this is attributed to the person. Moreover, the advertisement introduces new products that can facilitate our lives.
If a product is not well made and sturdy, then good advertisement cannot help with selling it. It is self-evident that people do not want to waste money on shoddy goods. While effective advertising can persuade people to buy things that are not necessary for them. And that depends on the person's personality. Also, the person must be interested in the type of product, for example, I know one of my colleagues at work who is obsessed with electronic appliances, I remember he had waited in a queue for almost 5 hours to buy the newest iPhone as it came out. Also sometimes women are interested in clothing and care too much about their appearance when they see some specific clothes worn by celebrities, it really encourages them to buy those exact clothes.
Besides, these day's technology is improving so fast, every day there are new inventions, new ideas and new products which extremely improve our lives. And advertising is very much needed to popularize them. In order to show products that increase the quality of living and welfare.
All in all, buying or not buying, is people's choice, and as long as the advertisement can impact individuals decision-making process it can tempt us to buy more and more. Literally, it can either persuade people to buy unnecessary stuff or, introduce new products that improve our lives. In my opinion, both are correct on some level.
