Children are the tender buds of the society and how they should be raised, is a debatable issue. Although a group of people believes that it is good to send the children to childcare centers at their tender stage of life, other parents who are working full-time think that grandparents can do the best care of their grandchildren than any agency. I will discuss both sides of the arguments related to childcare and provide my opinion, how much of it is beneficial for the children if their family member will do their upbringing.
Admittedly, it could be advantageous to take the services offered by daycare centers. First and foremost, from the social growth perspective, kids get a chance to indulge with other children in many different activities, which inculcates the true values of life in them such as cooperation, team player, and self-confidence. Another significant argument in favor is that children could learn the behavioral and cognitive skills very easily at childcare offices as the faculty members who work there, are armed with oratory and explanatory skills. For instance, a teacher can teach etiquettes to children with real-life examples because they have the ability to create the situations on the fly.
In contrast, there are several compelling reasons why family members are the best option for the uprising of the children. Firstly, from the safety perspective, children will get more attention at their home from their family whereas, in daycare institutions, carers have to take care of many kids. Therefore, the more the attention, the less the chances of any mishap. Secondly, if the grandparents spend their quality time along with their grandchildren, then it will build the camaraderie among them. Moreover, grandparents will apprise their children about their ancestors and their sacrifices.
In my opinion, both the views have their own positive aspects, but, the upsides that family members such as grandparents’ upbringing offer to their kids have more advantages in terms of safety and inbound love with their children.
In conclusion, while children who join childcare will become more social and extrovert, but the safety of children and knowledge about the family history is more important, which children can only learn from their family members.
