It is beleived that secondary school children should study international news as one of their school subjects. Others think that this is a waster of valuable school time. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Which school subjects should be taught in school is the issue on which people have strong opinions ,while one group argue pupils should study global news as one of their school subject , others ho others however believe it is a waste of time. This essay will discuss both these views and in end, I will give my own perspective.
To commence with, international news develops children's overall performance ,studying globally enhances their knowledge and broader their view as they will get in touch with international events because by studying Global News they will know about other communities culture and get knowledge about various events such as United Nation conference which will enhance their interest in current affairs. Moreover, this is helpful if a student in future wants to give competitive exams for example my friend Naresh Singh studied in VPS School in which international news is a compulsory subject which helped him to crack IAS exam as 43% questions are about Global concern.
However ,others believe students should focus on other subjects rather than wasting time on reading Global News ASN number of subjects are more for students it is difficult for them to include one more subject in the curriculum because there are various important subjects such as science mathematics and so on which needs proper attention and time also job opportunities are more in the subjects for example test held by education Prime stated in 2014 the students overall marks decreased if one subject is addes as pupills tend to start focusing on new subject.
In conclusion studying international news this children broader view which will be helpful in competitive exams where us it will also increase burden on Children's which will decrease their academic performance in my opinion international news should not be a compulsory subject it would be based on Children's interest whether they want to study or not.
