The chart shows number of hours male and female spend their free time in accordance to their job starting from year 1998 to 1999. Depending on the different type of job, they spend their leisure time in different ways.
Male which are employed in full-time job are shown to spend their leisure time more than the female. Number of hours that they spend is around 43 hours than that in female which is around 39 hours. For part-time worker, female spend roughly around 42 hours but, male interestingly does not shows to like spending any time for leisure. On the other hand, male and female illustrate similar number of hours doing leisure activity for unemployed as well as retire. 82 hours for both males and 78 hours respectively in female.
For housewives, it shown that they like to spend free time close to those female who are working and less than those who retire and jobless. Female working as a housewives spend around 45 hours doing activities that they like.
In conclusion, it shows that, in spite of the job that they have, male shows to spend more time doing things they like compare to those in female.
