The reading and the lecture both about the commercial advertisement which is called buzzing whereas the author of the reading suggest that the advertisement in which the people use to promote the items without telling others that they are paid promoters. The lecture disagree on this. He says that the author of the reading have misleading information about the buzzing. The lecture cast doubts on the main point made in the reading by providing three reasons.
First of all, according to the reading the buzzing promotion gives the false information to the people as by hiding the fact that they are promoting the product and people tend to believe it. However, the lecture disputes this points. He says that the company for the buzzing policy finds the people who has uses the products. Furthermore, he mentions that the information which the buzzer give to people are true about the products.
Secondly, the reading states that buzzer who pretends that they are sharing the personal views about the product while promoting the product to people. These people tends to fall in the trap of the buzzer and cannot decide what is true and false as the buzzer are hiding behind the face. Nevertheless, the lecture refutes this argument. He argues that the people demand lots of answers about the products. For example, the cost of phones, its services. He adds more information by mentioning that if the buzzer himself had not used the product than he will be not able to answer those questions.
Finally, the reading claims that buzzing kills the social relationship between the people. It creates disloyalty among the people after they get to know that the people are promoting the products. On the other hand, the lecturer believe that this promotions would maintain the healthy relationship as the product is good. For an instance, the buzzer himself had used the product so the product would be definitely worth buying. Moreover, he feels that this policy of promotions would create a most trustful bonding between people.
