The given line graph illustrates the data about percentage of club members in three type of sports in the United Kingdom started from 1983 and finished in 2003 year.
to the chart, swimming were the most popular activity in 1983, with just over 50 per cent of members, while gym activities had the lowest figures with approximately 5%. Team sport stood at 31 per cent at the same time period.
By 1988, however, the situation had changed, with team sports having by far the highest per cent, at around 40. Gym activity was much lower than team sports, on 26% respectively. Looking at the chart in more detail, it can be seen that swimming experienced a sharp decrease to 16 per cent from 1983 to 1998, until levelled off during the five years. In contrast, there was a gradual rise in gym activities members in 1988, and then remained steady.
Overall, it is noticable that team sport and gym activities rode over the twenty years period, and swimming went down at the same time period
