The two bar charts illustrates the age group distribution in two different decades, the first chart shows age group distribution in 1961 and the second one in 2031. The vertical axis is related to number of population and the horizontal axis demonstrates various age groups.
In the first bar chart whereas we have a baby booming that accounts for approximate three million of total population but the elderly class, over 65 years old, just assign to about one million of the whole population, this blunt of baby boomers that their ages are between 0 to about 14 will become a large population of elderly people in 1931 that allocate a third of the whole population.
The rate of fertility keeps going in 1931 too.In this case by growing the number of population, Australia government should prepare an appropriate plan to provide the welfare of elderly people for near coming years.
