The two charts below reveal information about how energy is used and how much greenhouse gas is emitted by Australian household respectively.
As obviously seen from the first chart, most of the energy is spent on heating at 42% and after that water heating stands in second place with 30% energy use. Other appliances spend energy a half of water heating by 15%. The other Australian household such as refrigeration, lighting and cooling consume energy less by 7%, 4% and 2% respectively.
By comparing the percentage of greenhouse gas emissions and energy use, can conclude that refrigeration and lighting emit greenhouse gas twice of energy use exactly. In addition, greenhouse gas is emitted by other appliances, water heating and cooling is more than energy use of them by 28%, 32% and 3% respectively. However, the only household which emits less greenhouse gas than energy use is heating by 15%.
In conclusion, the percentages of greenhouse gas emissions are more than energy use in all Australian household except heating.
