Write a letter to your neighbor. In your letter
• Describe the problem
• Say how long it has been a problem
• Explain what action you want the neighbor to take
Dear Mr. Smith,
My name is John and I live in the house just next to your apartment. I am writing with regards to the problem that I am facing because of the constant barking of your dog,
I am preparing for CFA exams, but due to the extreme barking of your dog, I can not concentrate on my studies. Sometimes your dog starts barking in the midnight and from the past few days, I am getting late for my work because I don’t get proper sleep in the night.
I am facing this problem since last month. I was expecting that you will take your dog for checkup as this might be troubling you as well. Since no action has been taken by you till now, I am writing to direct your attention to this problem.
I personally feel that your dog is suffering from some illness that causes him to bark continuously. You should consult a vet and take immediate steps to find the cause of the problem so that your dog gets cured as early as possible.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
John
