You travelled by a bus company and your suitcase got damaged. write a letter to the manager of bus company. In your letter:
1. Give details of your journey
2. What and when your suitcase was damaged
3. ask the company to pay for your suitcase
Dear sir,
I am writing to complain about the damage caused to my new suitcase while traveling by bus of your company.
I boarded the Delhi-Lucknow volvo bus on 22nd december. Bus started from Delhi at 9 PM and I reached Lucknow by next day at 11 AM.
Since my suitcase was heavy, I but that into the luggage compartment of the bus. But after reaching my destination, I checked that there were a lot of scratches on my suitcase and its handle was also broken. When I complained to the bus conductor, he said that it is not our responsibility to handle the luggage.
While booking a ticket online, it was clearly mentioned on your website that your company takes care of the luggage safety. And also my suitcase weighed below 30kg as per your company's policy. Therefore, i expect that your company should pay for my suitcase. I am attaching the photographs of my suitcase along with the copy of its bill.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully
