A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children’s sports team for two years, or to pay for two open air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.
Write a letter to the company. In your letter
• describe the benefits of sponsoring the ports team
• Summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• Say how you think the company should spend the money
Write at least 150 words
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madame,
Dear Madame,
I am writing with regard to your opinion poll advertised on the billboard in my locality. Your manufacturing unit has been a landmark in our vicinity and I do appreciate your good-will to contribute back to society.
Your company’s energy drink is popular with the youth and I opine that funding the Andheri Sports Club football team, will be an excellent choice. For the following two years, this is a good platform to encourage the under-16 players to target representing their team at the state-level tournaments.
However, financing an outdoor concert will attract larger crowds. This will be a great platform to reach vast audiences in a shorter span of time. Although, a similar event was hosted last year.
I believe that an opportunity to spread awareness to other forms of sports such as football is vital. Sponsoring a game event will create an acceptance for this sport and promote fitness amongst general masses. I will be looking forward to the announcement of your final decision.
I hope you favor my suggestion.
Yours sincerely,
Khushleen Kaur
