The pictures illustrate the cause of less farm produce in North America, Europe and Oceania during 1990-2000. Looking more closely to the picture, there were three main factors is observed.
According to the pie chart, over-grazing accounted for 35% where it was the main reason for less product in the late 19th century. It is followed by deforestation and over-cultivation at 30% and 28% respectively. The minority cause is other which affected only 7%. Furthermore, Europe had the most soil problem at almost one-fourth, consists of deforestation, over-cultivation and over-grazing at 9.8%, 7.7% and 5.5% respectively. On the other hand, only 5% of land degraded were found in North America. Their over-cultivation responsible for 3.3% of total. However, Oceania maintain their position at the middle at 13%. Most of it came from over-grazing at 11.3% Interestingly, there were not found the evidence of over-cultivation in Oceania.
In conclusion, over-grazing is the biggest issue for agriculture in the world during the 1990s.
