Essay topics:

You are bored in your current job but you enjoy working for your company. You think you would be happier if you moved to a different department in the same company.

Write a letter to your employer. In the letter

ask to be moved to a position in another department
explain how you feel about your current position and your career
say why you think changing your job would be good for you and the company

You should write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear …………………

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

Dear Sir,
My name is Harpal Singh and I work as a software engineer in the product engineering department. I am writing this letter to request you to move me to the artificial intelligence department.

I am fulfilling my roles and responsibilities in my current job, but I am not satisfied with growth opportunities available in this job. This is because my current work mainly involves repetitive work and there is no scope innovation in this place.

There are multiple reasons for this ask. Firstly, I have good earlier experience in artificial intelligence, therefore this movement will not only help me build on that experience, but also will add a good asset to that department. Additionally, since I have been actively following up the recent trends in the field of artificial intelligence, I will not need any more training for the job.

So I kindly request you to move me to the artificial intelligence department.

Yours Faithfully,
Harpal Singh
