The diagram illustrates the production cycle of leather goods.
Overall, making leather goods is a complex process in which chemical substances and machines are used. There are 10 stages of manufacturing starting from animal skin drying to producing final products.
At the beginning raw animal skin is dried via open air and sun, then cars transport it to the factory. The delivery phase is followed by discharging of product and preparation for washing stage, at which animal skin is placed in mixture of water and lime. After material was cleaned it is transferred to tank with lime liquid in order to be soaked. Next, semi finished leather should be flattened, it is done by rolls of flattening machine.
Consecutive stage involves additional soaking of skin in special mixture called tannin, which contains water and vegetable matter. After that step, leather is polished and charged in truck in order to be delivered to the second factory. Finally, different goods such as shoes, balls or bags are produced from leather and could be sold in special shops.
