The line graph compares the number of foreign visitors to three types of natural landscapes in a particular European country over a 20-year period from 1987 to 2007.
Overall, while significantly more foreign travellers visited the lakes and the mountains, the influx of tourists to the coast saw a less dramatic rise with wild fluctuations during the timescale.
In the year 1987, there were 40.000 visitors went to the coast. This figure was higher than the number of overseas tourists who paid a visit to series 3 and the lakes and mountains, at 20.000 and 10.000 respectively. Besides, the number of visitors to coastal areas considerably rose to 62.000 people. In addition, there was a fluctuation in the figure for people travelling to series 3 and reaching around 25.000 in 2002.
