SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT THE ROLE OF PARENTS IS TO DISCIPLINE THEIR CHILDREN AND TEACH THEM ABOUT RIGHT OR WRONG. OTHER PEOPLE CONSIDER THAT THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITY OF PARENTS IS TO NURTURE THEIR CHILDREN AND PROVIDE THEM WITH A SAFE ENVIRONMENT TO GROW UP IN. DISCUSS BOTH SIDES AND GIVE YOUR OPINION.
In this complex world, there are more roles for the parents to play. Among those,two are considered the main role for parents, which are the discipline and nurture. However, while some believe that parents should protect their children and to ensure a secured surroundings for them to grow up, I strongly believe that only by teaching them the appropriate morals and ethics in life, which will result in a more responsible youngster in the future.
On the one hand, it could be argued that parents significant duty is to foster their children. Those in favor of this commandment feel that in this complicated world, bringing up a child puts forward a strenuous task these days. For instance, there is an increased number of child hijacking cases being reported in the daily local newspapers. Consequently, parents start to panic on reading such articles. Therefore, they strongly believe that by providing a proper shelter and building up a society that harbors their young ones will be their top priority in raising up a child.
However, I side with those who believe that youngsters should be brought up in a manner that they know certain regulations to be followed as well as children should also know the actions which are carried by them have their positive or negative outcomes. Firstly, parents believe that for an youngster to be successful he or she has to be taught about the morals and ethics of life. Today more parents spend quality time with their children portraying the importance of being punctual to a place, respecting the elderly people, and to know the consequences of any awful behavior if they try to carry out. Thus, I wholeheartedly believe that by teaching these values parents are assured their children will become more independent and responsible citizens.
To conclude, although it is undeniable that parents obligation is to protect and provide peaceful circumstances to live for their young ones, I firmly believe that educating them on specific moral values will lead to a prosperous lifestyle.
