WRITING TASK2
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Write about the following topic:
News stories on TV and in newspapers are very often accompanied by pictures.
Some people say that these pictures are more effective than words.
What is your opinion about this?
Write at least 250 words.
The ideology that states that what’s seen with the eyes stays longer in the brain than what’s heard with the ear can’t be over emphasized. Although pictures often depict the information about news on television and papers around, however, other school of thought support the notion that these pictures speaks are efficient to utterance. This essay will discuss the ideology.
Irrespective of the validation of the school of thought about the images in the newspapers, it’s very evident that nothing bores the reader more than information without still pictures. Example of the such category depends on the nature of the reader, geographical location and interest of the targeted audience. Considering the temperament of such, a choleric temperament can would get bored so easily and impatient to follow up a such story from an information booklet due to no pictorial representation following the conveyed message. Another category considered are the who can’t follow a logical reasoning in the present days would have been futile effort if images are not been seen to capture type of information expected by the convener to them. Moreover information is a message that’s been passed across to different categories of people which include children. It very imperative that picture is effectively represented to catch their attention to get the desired message across to them for proper understanding of the information to b carried out. Although, this ideology has a limiting factors such as strong cognitive mind cant be exercised to understand abstract things.
Furthermore, an ideology that pictures ate more effective than words is of strong impression but is limited to some certain circumstances. On the contrary, few people who are not mentioned in the above-mention category can last long with the words without pictures. This shows the durability of logical minds who can commensurate to the information without been pampered with images irrespective of the news or information been passed across. Although, it’s been observed that more mature people in the ages of thirty and above are relevant to the contrary sense of the above mentioned ideology.
To conclude, either view can’t be done away it because they are interwoven. They are needed to explicitly conveyed information not understood to each other. Both ideology as discussed are of good thoughts whereby is put human nature and growth into consideration because human beings are different to each other.
