In order to become financially responsible adults, children should learn to manage their own money at a young age.
Although some people believe that they should financially support their children at a young age, but it seems to me children should learn to manage their own money at a young age due to, first, to become financially responsible adults, and second to learn how to become independent in their future life.
To begin with, consider a clear illustration of people in two different generations. In previous times children worked like the other members of their family and earned their own money; they spend their money in different ways like buying stuff for the school and so many other things. By this way they learn how to manage their money and gradually they became financially responsible for their income. Now, contrast the previous generation with the new one. The new generation, or it is better to say most of them, are financially supported by their parents. This group that parents financially support them at a young age, do not take responsibility of their expenses and waste their money.
Additionally, by teaching children how to manage their own money, they bring up independent too. For example, imagine a child who is supported by his parents at young ages; after a while he falls into the habit to support by somebody permanently. He does not accept their role as an independent person in making his future life.
To put the issues into a nutshell, for having a successful and independent young generation, we should work with children at a young age and teach them how to manage their own money in their everyday life.
