The graph below show the differences in wheat exports over three different areas
The graph describes the amount of wheat which was sold by Australia, Canada and the European Community in the period from 1985 to 1990.
At the beginning in 1985, the highest number of wheat exports belonged to Canada, about 19 millions of tons, while the figure in European Community and Australia was 16 millions of tons and 15 millions of tons respectively. In the next year, the number of selling wheat in Australia rose slightly, about 1 million tons. Meanwhile, Canada and the European Community experienced a slight fall in the number of wheat exports, approximately 16 millions of tons and 14 millions of tons respectively compared to the previous year.
From 1986 to 1988, there was an upward trend in both Canada and the European Community. The graph of Canada climbed rapidly to the position of 25 millions of tons while it was only a gradual increase in European Community, from 14 millions of tons to 15 millions of tons. In contrast, Australia suffered a steady drop in the number of wheat exports, nearly 4 millions of tons in three years. In the last three years, European Community achieved significant growth, over 20 millions of tons in 1990 while both Australia and Canada showed a downward trend, especially when Canada reached at the bottom, about 14 millions of tons in 1989.
