You work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
Explain why you want to work in the company’s head office for six months
Say how your work could be done while you are away
Ask for his/her help in arranging it
Dear Sir,
I am writing to you regarding working in our head office which is situated in Australia for about 6 months. Since are office is newly opened here in Canada, it would be beneficial for me as well as for the company, if I could work there in our head office as an on job trainee. It would certainly help me to learn about companies culture of work. Once I learn all the basic responsibilities and hierarchy as well so that, while after returning back I could guide all my peers and new joinees about the same.
Moreover, while I am in head office, my responsibilities during this period would be handled by my assistant Ms. B kalita. I already have spoken to her about it and showed her the way to prepare the monthly report as well. She will be using my official mail ID though during this period.
I would be grateful, if you could arrange temporary transfer to our head office. Kindly, initiate the mail at the earliest.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks in anticipation.
Yours faithfully,
Simi
