The graph below gives information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projections until 2030.
The figure below illustrate the amount of energy consumption from 1980 to the estimated amount in 2030. In the figure there are 6 types of energy providers. The usage of all energy providers increase in the 50 years period except hydro power. As we see in the graph, the usage of petrol and oil is in the maximum point in all the 50 years period. coal and natural gas are almost in the same trend and the amount of Coal usage is estimated to go on 27-28 quadrillion in the year 2030.
for different energy sources like Nuclear, solar, wind, and Hydropower we see almost a little
change from 1980 to the estimated amount in 2030.
Natural gas consumption is estimated to be constant in the 2015 to 2030 period but petrol and oil consumption is increased In the same period. It can be seen the consumption of nuclear and solar/wind energy providers
are in the range of 0 to 7 quadrillions
