Dear Xiaoxing,
As we talked before on phones, I will go to Auckland which is in New Zealand after 2 months, and to start my study at University of Auckland. In the meantime, I would like to find part-time job during my learning period. I am writing this letter to ask some advices for the local jobs in Auckland from you since you and your wife already live in the city several years.
First of all, it is a two years study and there are courses at UOA from Monday to Friday. Thus, I think that I could do some part-time jobs in the weekend when I am free.
There are two reasons why I want to do the part-time job while I am studying. Firstly, gaining a working experience in foreign country could take some advantage in my CV for the future working purpose. Secondly, I can earn some money since my parents will not give me much pocket money as they insist that I should learn how to make the money at my age. And they also think that participate in the social experience is helpful and important for my future work.
Before I go to New Zealand, maybe you could help me to do a little research about what type of jobs are opened for foreign students like me as well as how much they usually payed.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards,
Haibo
