You have a problem with the computer at the office which has affected your work. Write a letter to your manager and say
– What problem do you have?
– What difficulties does this create for you?
– What could be done about it?
Dear sir,
With due respect, I am writing this letter to bring to your notice, the problems that i am facing due to poor performance of my laptop and I request you to issue me a new laptop so that it do not effect my work.
First of all, I would like to mention that I am using this laptop from last seven years and due to wear and tear its performance has really degraded. I am continuously facing one or the other problem that hampers my work. Its battery backup has reached the lowest leve that means it did not work for even one minute without a charger powered with electricity. last week I went to meet my client at library and could not even start my laptop due to this issue, that was really embarrassing for me, somehow I managed to explain my project to him. Also its memory is almost full due to large amount of data and office applications installed on it, consequently its speed is really slow.
I request you to replace my laptop with new laptop with all the required data and application installed on it, so that it do not disturb my office work. I would submit the laptop to hardware and maintenance staff when you approve my request.
It would be really appreciated, if you consider my issues seriously and take appropriate action as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely
Harry
