A majority influence is defined as an individual or a small group of people, giving up their beliefs and behaviours to be accepted by a larger group of people. A good example of a majority influence is found in high school students. Most teenagers want to be a part of the social crowd and might change whom they are to fit in. However, a minority influence is defined as a small group changing the opinions of a larger group. A minority influence is not as common as a majority influence. An example of a minority influence could be found in high school as well, since one respected teacher can change the behaviours of many students.
