By 2000, just over half of the population aged 0-14 in Yemen while this figure was 14.3% in Italy. Besides, people were aged 15-59 accounted for 46.3% and 61.6%, in Yemen and Italy, respectively. The group aged over 60 occupied 3.6% of the inhabitants of Yemen while this number in Italy was almost a quarter of the population.
By 2050, in Yemen, while people aged 15-59 are expected to grow rapidly from 46.3% to 57.3%, the children aged under 15 are anticipated to drop dramatically to 37%.
