The lecturer and the author of the article tell us about causes of a period of unusual cold weather in the many part of the world which is called Little Ice Age (LIA). But the main ideas of the lecture are completely opposed to the article.
According to the article the first cause of LIA is changing the direction of ocean currents. The lecturer has major doubts about it. He draws our attention in global nature of cold temperature while only currents between Europe and America had changed their ways. This fact refutes the first reason.
Volcanic eruptions as the second cause of LIA have been disproved too. Lecturer says that scientists don’t have any proxies of great eruptions in the past. There was no one word about grey snow, fogs, specific sun effects or any facts of unusual volcanic activities.
The third reason, which connect with decreasing human populations and great forest growth isn’t supported by lecturer. He suggests population was growing faster than climate could change.
