- Give details of the amount of time you need
- Suggest how your work could be covered while you are away
Dear Mr. Adris,
This letter seeks your approval for an annual leave from 15th May to end of month. I would like to take time to come back my home town to visit my family. The reason is there were a longtime I didn’t see my parents. Not only me but my daughter as well she hadn’t seen her grand-parents for years. As a father, I had responsibility to make strong connection between generations in the family.
Another point I want to take into consideration is that the 20th May will be one year ceremony of my grand-father’s death. Since last year when he died, I was travelling to Singapore for a deal with company’s partner, I couldn’t see him for the last time. That make me really regret so I would like to profit this occasion to pray for him.
I will be left in the evening of 15th May and back to work on 30th May. I’ll bring my laptop with me and still online for urgent cases. Anyway, I’ll try not to interrupt the work.
I’m looking for your approval.
Thank you very much.
