With all the troubles in the world today, money spent on space exploration is a complete waste . The money could be better spent on other things
Nowadays with all the problems in the nations,it is argued that the finances spent on exploring space is a total waste rather it could have been spent on other things.I completely agree with this notion owning to the fact that such research adds no value to the people and their efforts ends in futility.
To begin with,going to the space to explore does not add anything to the people. This implies that such search are primarily to satisfy curiosity of some researchers and it has little or nothing to offer.whereas huge amount of money is wasted on it. For example, in 2018,a group of researchers financed by the Government of Britain to explore the space with no positive effect from it while thousands of pounds was spent which could have been channeled to education,which was at its lowest level in that country. Although it could make such countries popular but it does not add anything to the people and economy of that country.
Another point to consider is that such research ends in futility . This means that even though big amount of money is spent on that,it has no result to show and majority are just hypothesis with no evidence. For example, John bone a French scientist came up with the view that there could be another planet having human existence, the United Nations sponsored the search with many billions of dollars. After two years in and out of space ,he was proved wrong.The money used should have go into fight against poverty in third world countries, improve educational systems, prevent maternal mortality and morbidity rate and so on which will be beneficial to the member nations.it is true that scientists develop equipments to enable them get to space however, nothing was found and all efforts was in vein .
In conclusion,spending money on exploring space is of no use and any effort in futility so it ought to be channeled to other sectors like health, education,technology and so on,which will improve the health and wealth of the countries making the earth a better place to stay at long run.
