Overall, it is clear that the ratio of the population in the world living in city areas seem to have increased gradually for over three periods. However, North America had experienced an upward trend throughout the years as compared to others.
To initiate, in terms of North America the population in downtown places seems to rise, from 64 percent in 1950 to 79 percent in 2007 and expected to reach 87 percent in 2030. However, the majority of Europe and Latin American Caribbean had peaked from 1950 to 2007 and predicted to incline up in 2030, simultaneously.
On the contrary, in the context of Africa and Asia, there seem to have a tiny fraction difference in all respective time frames. Furthermore, the world population in city areas had hiked 29 percent to 1950 and reached 49 percent in the following year 2007. Likewise, it is estimated to heightened about 60 percent in the consecutive year 2030.
