Animals debate
Animal activists are right when they object to animals being used in experiments
From the ancient times to nowadays, people have been trying to come up with the perfect treatment for all kinds of diseases. The process of trial and error used to being used through the centuries didn’t give even the thousandth part of success that the modern medicines has received for the last 100 years. It wouldn’t be able to be achieved without animals which are taking a significant part in all medicine experiments. They have made the all donkey work (instead of us) taking the brunt of negative consequences from using new medicines. They seem quite brave, don’t they? However, have they been agree with that? The animal activists don’t think so.
Truly, it sounds awful – we have been killing great many animals for what? For getting new kind of ointment or more badly new color of lipstick? Let’s try it on oneself. Imagine that your puppy or kitten is likely to be hurt or killed for getting new shampoo. Therefore, it is not honest in attitude to any species of animal, not only in attitude to somebody's pet.
However, on the other hand, can you answer how many lives have been rescued for these 100 years with help of medicines, which have been tested on animals? Millions and millions. And it includes not only human beings, it includes and animal beings – cows and their calves, horses and their colts, dogs and great variety of birds, reptiles, fish, mammals and so on. All of them have reproduced new generations and increased populations of different species (contains endangered species) in the wild.
From my point of view, in this case people who have already received quite high level in medicine and science ought to in the foreseeable future find out the new ways to test medicine. For instance, we have found the method of creating new cells. Why could we develop it for modern medicine? It would be able to save animals from suffering and calm down animal activists.
In conclusion, our generation should put more sense in it’s activity. 100 years ago there was not any other way to figure out the affect that could be got from using new treatment and we had to use animals for it. However, thanks to all done experiments our scientists have developed their knowledge to the extent on which we are able to find out new ways for getting new medicine, new cosmetics without harming any live creatures on Earth. Let’s do it.
