Summarise the information in the charts and make comparisons where appropriate.
The line chart illustrates the daily duration of telephone calls in minutes which have been categorized into three different groups. And, this data had been gathered from Australia between 1992 to 2000.
In general, local phone calls have been made mostly throughout the whole 8- year period and fluctuated around 80 million minutes. On the other hand, other types of communication are less popular but had an upward trend in those years.
Back in the year 1992, local calls start at around 70 million minutes and increased slightly and peaked in the year 1996 around 82 million minutes. Also, long distance phone calls were a little above 30 million minutes in 1992 and went up steadily to 50 million minutes in the year 2000. At last, some calls have been made with mobile devices which had a duration of about 1 million minutes in the beginning and rose up slowly to 10 million minutes per day in the year 1996.
There are no significant changes in the trend of long distance calls after the year 1996, but the minutes of local call start to decline after this year and ended up on 70 million minutes in 2000. Conversely, mobile call times begin to increase faster and reach 40 million minutes in the year 2000.
