The line graph illustrates the proportion of passengers to four places in scotland including aquarium, castle, zoo and festival over a period os 30 years starting from 1980.
it can be clearly seen that while the percentage of tourists attracting castle and zoo experienced a increase the opposite was true for festival and aquarium. it ia also notable that castle was the most popular tourist attraction in scotland for most the period.
The proportion of tourists visiting castle was nearly 25 percent in comparison with 10 percent of zoo. In the period 1980 – 1995 witnessed a significant growth in the proportion of passengers visiting castle from 25 percent to 45 percent which was followed by a substantial reduction of roughly 15 percent over the next 15 years. Meanwhile, that proportion of zoo went through a fluctuation around 15 percent between 1980 and 2000. over the next 10 year, the figure for that increased dramatically fell by 10 percent.
The percentage of tourists attracting aquarium was higher than festival approximately 10 percent. In the period 1980 – 1985 the percentage of tourists visiting aquarium experienced a remarkable growth from 20 percent to 35 percent before falling to 20 percent in 1990. over the next 20 years, although there was a slight upward trend to 22 percent in 1995. The proportion of passengers visiting aquarium went through a dramatical reduction from 22 percent to 9 percent. By contrast, the proportion of tourists visiting festival decline grandually ove the period of 30 years.
